Overview of PRCS identity, mandate, and institutional role.
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the provincial branch of the national Red Crescent Society. Established as an auxiliary to the public authorities in the humanitarian field, PRCS KP is part of the largest humanitarian network in the world – the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
PRCS KP works tirelessly to prevent and alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and ensure respect for human dignity, especially during times of armed conflict, natural disasters, and other emergencies. Our mandate extends to disaster management, health and care services, community resilience building, youth engagement, and the dissemination of the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
