Climate adaptation and resilience work led by PRCS.
Climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of humanitarian risks, especially for vulnerable communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PRCS KP works to strengthen climate resilience by promoting local adaptation, public awareness, preparedness, and community-led action that helps reduce exposure to climate-related hazards.
The Climate Advocacy and Coordination for Resilient Action (CACRA) program is PRCS KP's flagship climate initiative. Through CACRA, communities are empowered to lead their own adaptation strategies, supported by scientific assessments, policy advocacy, and cross-sector coordination with government and development partners.
PRCS KP actively engages young people in climate action through the Climathon program, environmental awareness campaigns, tree planting drives, and youth-led community resilience projects. These initiatives build a new generation of climate-conscious humanitarian leaders.
