Institutional and legal standing of PRCS.
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society was established under the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Act, 1920 (amended in 1974). It is the only National Society of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Pakistan and is recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
PRCS Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operates as a provincial branch under this national charter, delivering humanitarian services in line with the seven Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality.
